How to Cook Our Perogies
If you want to bring out the best in our perogies, follow these easy instructions!
Cooking Instructions
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
- Add salt and oil.
- Place perogies in boiling water and stir with a wooden spoon
- Let the water come to a boil again, at which point, turn the heat down to a medium and allow the perogies to float on top for approximately 5 minutes.
Pyrogy Girl’s Special Instructions
- Drain perogies and allow 2-3 minutes for cooling.
- Coat them with a thin layer of melted butter. This method will give the perogies a glossy shine and will ensure they won’t stick to one another.
- Finish off with sautéing onions in butter until translucent (see through) or golden brown.
- For extra flavour add bacon to the onions and butter. Serve on top of perogies.
