How to Cook Our Perogies

If you want to bring out the best in our perogies, follow these easy instructions!

Cooking Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
  2. Add salt and oil.
  3. Place perogies in boiling water and stir with a wooden spoon
  4. Let the water come to a boil again, at which point, turn the heat down to a medium and allow the perogies to float on top for approximately 5 minutes.

Pyrogy Girl’s Special Instructions

  1. Drain perogies and allow 2-3 minutes for cooling.
  2. Coat them with a thin layer of melted butter. This method will give the perogies a glossy shine and will ensure they won’t stick to one another.
  3. Finish off with sautéing onions in butter until translucent (see through) or golden brown.
  4. For extra flavour add bacon to the onions and butter. Serve on top of perogies.
